Once a young, aspiring businessman, Nick has become disinterested and discontent with his life as a plumber. The high income he receives is his only motivation. This disinterest has turned him into a very stressful and very stern boss that no one likes to work for or with.

Nick can be described as sometimes lazy, often strict and very outspoken. While Nick doesn't lack confidence, he is very difficult man to talk to and even harder to befriend. He's very closed like that.

Susan

While Susan herself is not seen in the actual film (with the exception of a couple of photographs), her character plays an integral role in the story. A driving force in the friendship between David and Stephen, not much is known about her character from the story apart from the fact that she was murdered by her husband, David, and burnt and that she was sleeping with Stephen while with David.

However, you can learn a lot about Susan’s character through David’s past life as well as other moments in the story. The photos shared between David and Stephen reveal that Susan could have been a very outgoing person, while David’s past life as an in-and-out petty criminal suggest that Susan perhaps had a darker side to her character. Cheating on David with Stephen could also perhaps confirm that she indeed had her darker side.
